What is Stress?

Stress is a state that you get into because of the way you react to outside influences, like noise, debts, relationships, work worries, all of which are known as "stressors". You may find your reaction to a stressor is mild at first; however, you start to notice effects if the same stressor repeats itself constantly.

Your body always tries to re-establish a state of balance, but if the situation keeps occurring you may, after a while, begin to show physical reactions like muscular tension, or emotional reactions such as feelings of anxiety. These are signs of stress.

We live surrounded by potential stressors, how we cope with them determines our state of health. These influences will not go away, so the only way to deal with them is to recognize them and change the way that we react to them.
